Trump says Cruz caused wife fight

Donald Trump faulted Texas senator Ted Cruz Sunday for a conflict involving their wives.

“He’s the one that started it,” the Republican presidential front-runner said on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday, before defending his own actions as simply “responding to what he does.”

Trump blamed the press for making him the “bad guy.”

Trump said he knows who gave the rights of a GQ nude photoshoot of his wife Melania, a former model, to a super political action committee supporting Cruz, which used the photos in an ad aimed at Utah voters before that state’s caucus.

“From what I hear,” GOP front-runner said,” somebody bought the rights to it and [Cruz] was the one or his campaign bought the rights and they gave it to the super PAC.”

“And just so you understand, that super PAC is very friendly to Ted Cruz. He knew all about it, 100 percent. So he started it. I didn’t start it,” Trump added.

Trump also denied responsibility for a photo of his wife beside on unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz, saying it was nothing more than a retweet of a post somebody else sent him.

Trump also hinted that he may know unflattering things about Cruz’s wife, explaining the meaning behind a tweet he directed at “Lyin’ Ted” earlier in the week, in which he said “I will spill the beans on your wife!” As to the meaning behind the cryptic message, Trump repeated that he wouldn’t talk about it.
