Gabby Giffords, recently resigned from her seat in Congress to focus on her rehabilitation, walked across the stage at an EMILY’s List event Tuesday night. She moved with a limp and required assistance from Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., who held her hand, but Giffords looked healthy in her aqua jacket and smiled brightly at the cheering crowd. She did not speak after accepting the “We Are Emily” award from the organization for leadership.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi delivered remarks to the attendees, which included Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla., who bobbed around the room in a coral cowboy hat.
