The anti-Trump Republican group The Lincoln Project unleashed an ad celebrating Sen. Kamala Harris as former Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate after he made the announcement on Tuesday.
The group describes Harris as a “strong voice for a better America,” hinting at her background as the daughter of immigrants and a former prosecutor.

“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is the America we believe in, where hard work means more than family wealth, where compassion and kindness are strengths, not weaknesses,” the ad says. “This is the America of our better angels. The best of America: strong, compassionate, determined.”

The Lincoln Project was founded by several longtime Republican and independent political strategists and consultants, including Rick Wilson, the author of Everything Trump Touches Dies, and George Conway, a New York City-based lawyer and the husband of Kellyanne Conway.
The group also tweeted a separate photo of Harris and Biden with the hashtag #ThePeoplesTeam.
