Mika Brzezinski: Trump, Kim Jong Un are equally ‘imbalanced’

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski on Monday compared President Trump and North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un by saying both are “imbalanced,” and that their reckless actions could lead to war.

Brzezinski was interviewing former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Adm. James Stavridis, who said the world is starting to discount Trump’s tweets, such as his tweet over the weekend that called Kim “Rocket Man.” But Brzezinski said she worried that Kim might not discount those tweets.

“It may be that President Trump’s tweets and stupid statements might be sort of losing their, whatever, gusto in the marketplace, and lowering our place in the world and people discounting him,” she said. “But I could see the leader of North Korea, who is equally potentially, you know, imbalanced and hard to predict, reacting badly.”

Brzezinski said several times on “Morning Joe” that the country and the world need to be worried about Trump’s tweeting.

“I wish there was an intelligent analysis for this behavior, but there simply is not,” she said. “And we all know that.”

She added that she fears his tweets will “lead us to war.”
