Trump slams ‘double standard’ of GOP establishment

Donald Trump questioned talk that he will soon consider dropping out of the race for president, calling such rumors “dishonest.”

“My ratings are the highest they’ve been, so I don’t get it,” Trump said Monday on “Fox and Friends.”

The real estate mogul questioned the “double standard” of the Republican establishment, noting that if former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush had poll numbers as high as his, journalists would likely be calling the race over.

“They said if Jeb Bush had my poll numbers, everybody would leave the race,” Trump said.

Trump, who leads in national polls and in the Washington Examiner power rankings, said people would likely “fall asleep” watching the upcoming Democratic debate Tuesday.

“I don’t think they’ll do great,” he said. “I think people are going to turn it on for a few minutes and then fall asleep.”
