Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) noted that Florida Democratic lawmakers have had “enough” of their party, prompting them to change their political affiliation.
State Sen. Jason Pizzo was the third lawmaker to leave the Democratic Party since November’s election. Pizzo was the state Senate minority leader at the time. Reps. Hillary Cassel and Susan Valdes also switched parties earlier this year. As a result, Florida House Republicans have earned a supermajority of 87-33.
