Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), the only Republican so far to announce a gubernatorial bid in Florida, released his first campaign ad of the 2026 election cycle accusing Democratic challenger David Jolly of refusing to abandon failed policies embraced by his party.

The 60-second web ad, “David Jolly In His Own Words,” seeks to link Donalds’s chief rival to Democrats’ stance on a host of controversial issues often viewed as having led to their sweeping losses at the White House and both chambers of Congress during the 2024 elections.
