President Donald Trump unexpectedly departed the G7 summit on Monday without providing a definitive explanation why. 

Many suspected it had to do with addressing the conflict in the Middle East between Iran and Israel. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt later confirmed this in a social media post on X. French President Emmanuel Macron inferred that Trump departed the summit early to work on a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
