ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Another large snake is on the run in Virginia.
Media outlets say authorities are searching for an 8-foot female python that escaped from a tank in a shed behind its owner’s residence in Roanoke.
The 7-year-old python has been missing since Saturday morning.
Wildlife biologists say the python likely isn’t a threat to the community or pets in the neighborhood.
Earlier this week, a 7-foot boa constrictor that had been on the loose in Albemarle County was captured.
