D.C. man was last seen at hospital

D.C. police are looking for a man who has been missing from Southeast Washington since early January. Freddie Wallace, 53, was reported missing on Jan. 3.

Police said on Tuesday that investigators reached out to local hospitals, and learned he had been seen at a hospital within the past few days.

But the staff didn’t know police were looking for Wallace. He was released from the hospital, and authorities don’t know where he has gone.

Now, local medical centers have been advised to be on the lookout for Wallace. It wasn’t clear Tuesday how long Wallace had been at the hospital or why he was there.

Wallace is described as a black man with medium complexion and short hair. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

He first went missing from the 1300 block of Southern Avenue SE at about 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 3. At that time, he was wearing a brown coat, a white striped shirt and black sweat pants.

Anyone with information about his case is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099.
