Vice President Kamala Harris shared her disdain for the recent Supreme Court rulings by blaming “extremist so-called leaders.”
Harris attended the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition convention on Sunday and share some words with the congregation there. It was hosted at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, Illinois, as part of the coalition’s mission to “protect, defend, and gain civil rights by leveling the economic and educational playing fields and to promote peace and justice around the world.”

Harris lamented the resulting opinions from the conservative justices are doing the opposite.
“And let us acknowledge that the fight is more important than ever,” Harris said. “In this moment, across our country, we are witnessing hard-fought, hard-won freedoms under full-on attack by extremist so-called leaders.”
Harris would not name whom she was referring to but alluded that these people have “an agenda to attack the importance of diversity and equity and inclusion and the unity of the Rainbow Coalition” and have “laid the groundwork for the Dobbs decision.” The vice president went on to accuse conservatives of attempting to disrupt “unfettered access to the ballot” and of banning books in order to “prevent the teaching of America’s full history.”
“As we know from Roman’s 5:5, hope does not disappoint us,” Harris concluded. “Let us march, let us vote, let us fight — knowing when we fight, we win.”
