Beyonce comes out for Beto O’Rourke just before polls close in Texas

Beyonce endorsed Beto O’Rourke hours before polls closed in her home state of Texas on Tuesday.

“I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice. We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right. We need you. We all need each other, because when we are truly united we are unstoppable. Sending you all love and positivity on this happy voting day!” she captioned an Instagram post.

The singer was donning a black hat that read, “Beto for Senate” in three posts.

“Every vote counts. Every race matters. Everywhere,” she said.

A RealClearPolitics average of polls has Republican Sen. Ted Cruz leading by 6.8 percentage points in the red state.

Polls close at 8 p.m. EST in the state.
