Family members of the hostages captured by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, sent President Donald Trump a video message thanking him for brokering a ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel. The agreement includes a commitment to return the hostages who have been held in captivity for over two years. 

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum posted a statement to its X account announcing the deal. The group also expressed its “profound gratitude” to Trump and his administration for their leadership in bringing “an end to the war and a comprehensive agreement to return all the hostages.”
