PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) — A couple has claimed a $1 million Powerball prize at the Portsmouth store where they bought the winning ticket.
Media outlets report that Calvin and Zatera Spencer returned to Barber Tire & Auto on Tuesday to claim their prize.
The Virginia Lottery says the Spencers bought a ticket for the March 11 drawing that matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball number. The winning numbers were 14-15-28-37-54 and the Powerball number was 10.
Earlier this month, someone bought a ticket in Springfield that won the $1 million prize. That prize hasn’t been claimed.
