Priebus: No need for special panel on Russia ties

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus rejected calls for a special investigative panel to look into Russian interference during the 2016 election.

“I think we let the House [Intelligence] Committee do its job,” Priebus said on Fox News Sunday.

His comments come after Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., briefed the president that U.S. spies incidentally monitored the Trump campaign.

Nunes caught fire for briefing the president before members of the House Intelligence Committee, which he chairs.

Priebus added that the intelligence committee’s probe isn’t going to come up with anything that shows the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the election.
