Rand Paul: Trump ‘against endless wars’

It doesn’t look like they duked it out while golfing with President Trump, but Sens. Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham argued over “endless wars” during the outing last weekend, and the president appears to have sided with anti-war Paul.

Nobody is talking, but both lawmakers tweeted about it. “Reminded President Trump how dumb it was for President Obama to ignore sound military advice by pulling out of Iraq, creating ISIS,” Graham tweeted after the game.

But Paul the next day responded, “Proud that @realDonaldTrump and I argued with you against endless wars! @POTUS made it clear to all of us at the table, we are getting out of the Middle East quagmire. We’ve been there too long. Time to bring our troops home.” …

  • Former presidential candidate and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will be the new president of Young America’s Foundation, the conservative youth leadership group founded by William F. Buckley Jr. and inspired by former President Ronald Reagan. Walker, who is officially sworn in next January, already has big plans for the influential group. Walker said that his goal is to expand the group to every higher education campus in the country.
