Sightings: Sally Field shops at CVS, Star Jones lobbies

Actress Sally Field was spotted shopping at the Georgetown CVS Tuesday afternoon. The “Brothers & Sisters” star was by herself and sported jeans, a blue and white striped T-shirt, brown round glasses and a ponytail. “I can see how she’d fly away in a breeze, just like in her old TV show, [‘The Flying Nun’],” our source said, noting her petite stature. Field is in town for the Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards gala at the Kennedy Center Opera House.

“The View’s” Star Jones was also in D.C. Tuesday, lobbying on behalf of the American Heart Association on Capitol Hill.

Elizabeth Kucinich was doing a very ordinary thing during Tuesday morning’s rush hour: she rode the Metro. “British wives of famously liberal congressman: they’re just like us!” our source gushed, saying Kucinich stood quietly during the red line trip toward Shady Grove. “She had on a pretty blue jacket over what appeared to be a dress, accompanied with very sensible looking heels,” we’re told. “As always, her long red hair was straight and down, and looked remarkably unaffected by the weather.”

On Monday night, Janet Napolitano tried out Wolfgang Puck’s the Source, entering the establishment just after 7 p.m. The secretary of Homeland Security gave a wave and smile to a passerby who recognized her. She dined with Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.  Both enjoyed the sauteed sea scallop entree with drunken noodles.
