NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A Delta Airlines jet made a hard landing at Norfolk International Airport after it blew two tires.
There were no injuries.
Norfolk Airport Authority executive director Wayne Shank tells media outlets that the tires on the MD-80 jet’s main landing gear blew out when the plane landed around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The plane was arriving from Atlanta.
Shank says there wasn’t any other damage.
Delta Airlines spokeswoman Sara Lona says 144 passengers were on the plane.
The runway was closed while the plane was towed away.
