High-profile Republicans praised President-elect Trump’s decision to name South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as his ambassador to the United Nations, and said it’s a real chance for the U.S. to reform the flawed organization.

Haley supported Sen. Marco Rubio during the primary contest, but Rubio himself welcomed Trump’s decision to send Haley to the U.N., and said it’s an opportunity to fix an organization that has failed to “live up to it’s potential.”
