Police at 15 P.G. Metro stations sweeping for crime

Police are conducting sweeps at 15 Metro stations in Prince George’s County as part of an anti-terrorism and anti-crime effort.

Metro riders should expect to see heavy police presence at stations in Prince George’s County until 7 p.m., according to a news release.

Officers are spread out throughout the stations looking for suspicious activity. More than 100 officers from multiple law enforcement agencies are participating in the effort.
