But Trump’s weekend schedule indicates he will be in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Saturday. Trump has not been expected to attend because of the couple’s desire to have a deeply private ceremony, according to CNN. Only Trump Jr.’s siblings, immediate family, and the couple’s closest friends are expected to attend the nuptials, with the guest list totaling less than 50 people.
Before the schedule was released, the president said Thursday he was unsure about whether he could attend, musing that his preference was to go, but noting that the Iran conflict and other national priorities could keep him away.
“He’s got a very — a person who I’ve known for a long time, and hopefully they are going to have a great marriage,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “He’d like me to go, but it’s going to be just a small little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it.”
“I’m in the midst — I said: ‘You know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things. That’s one I can’t win on,” the president added. “If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed — by the fake news, of course, I’m talking about.”

The affair this weekend is set to be Trump Jr.’s second marriage. He was married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 to 2018, and had five children with her before the couple split.
It was revealed earlier this week that Vanessa Trump has breast cancer.
