The White House’s latest dustup with Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) landed with a thud Thursday among his GOP colleagues.
Republican senators, including those who once opposed Thune for leader, came to his defense and downplayed remarks from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt that President Donald Trump’s patience is “running out” on the GOP-led chamber’s inability to pass the SAVE America Act.
