Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a potshot at the United Kingdom in a recent interview, comparing the British Isles to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The premier made the remark during an interview on the Israeli podcast “Melech Blitzer Haim,” where he discussed the collapsing goodwill between Britain and Israel. Reflecting positively on Winston Churchill and his family’s support for Israel during the Six Day War, the Israeli premier said the days of such close cooperation are over.
