Liberals, Democrats, socialists, communists, and others on the Left desperately want racial tensions and the deterioration of ethnic relations in the United States. It’s one of their most prevalent core values and a tenet of the cultural warfare they regularly unleash on American society. They deceptively claim they seek racial and ethnic harmony while not so subtly stoking the flames of discontent in the country. There are many on the Left guilty of such sins, but arguably none more so than Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who frequently peddles misinformation and outright lies regarding racial issues in the country.
On Friday evening, in her latest quest to disseminate left-wing lies and outright deception, Tlaib once again engaged in inflammatory falsehoods, posting on social media that Michael Brown “should still be with us today.”

“Mike Brown should still be with us today,” Tlaib posted. “But 12 years ago this week, he was murdered by a police officer in Ferguson. Our fight for justice and an end to white supremacy, police violence, and mass incarceration continues.”
“Black lives matter,” the congresswoman added.
The only reason Brown isn’t “with us today” is that he decided to attack police officer Darren Wilson. This, mind you, was after Brown assaulted a clerk at a local convenience store in Ferguson, Missouri, and stole a box of Swisher Sweets cigars. There’s only one person responsible for Brown’s death, and it is Brown.

However, the facts and truth surrounding the details of Brown’s death don’t matter to Tlaib and people of her ilk. And they never did.
Tlaib insists on spreading misinformation, lies, and false representations, and on showing an aversion to facts. It is unhinged, it is dangerous, it is inflammatory, and it is indicative of everything the contemporary liberals, Democrats, socialists, and communists try to do. They don’t rely on truth, as it matters little to them. They will regularly lie and deceive the public so long as the ends justify the means.
In this case, those ends are false cries of “white supremacy” and baseless and dishonest assertions that police officers hunt down and kill innocent black men without cause. This is what Tlaib said in her social media post, and it was completely false, dishonest, and baseless. In a just world, Tlaib would be held accountable for her lies, perhaps with being censured in Congress or similar retribution.
Despite her ignorant claims to the contrary, Brown was not murdered by any police officer. As mentioned above, Brown was killed after engaging in a physical confrontation with Wilson after he robbed a store. This isn’t an opinion or some bias-fueled description of the events. It is the conclusion reached by multiple investigations regarding Brown’s death.
Consider what Tlaib said in her post and then contrast it with the actual facts and witness testimonies during the case.
For example, Tlaib posted that Brown “was murdered by a police officer in Ferguson” and then went on some unhinged rant citing white supremacy, as the Left often does, when the skin color of the people involved in Brown’s death only mattered to liberals, Democrats, socialists, and communists. However, numerous witnesses, including “people of color,” testified that Wilson was under attack and Brown was the aggressor.
Obama DOJ report and witness testimony refutes Tlaib’s claim
According to the federal investigation into Brown’s death, a witness to the shooting, identified in the report as Witness 102, a 27-year-old biracial male, saw the entire interaction and said that “Brown was ‘wrestling’ through (Wilson’s) window” and that later in the confrontation, Brown “charged” at Wilson. Witness 102 assessed that “Wilson’s life was in jeopardy.”
The Justice Department report deemed the testimony of Witness 102 as “materially consistent with each other, with physical and forensic evidence, and with other credible witness accounts.”
“Accordingly, after a thorough review of all the evidence, federal prosecutors determined his account to be credible and likewise determined that a jury appropriately would credit his potential testimony,” the federal investigation report reads.
In another testimony, a person identified as Witness 108 was a 74-year-old black male who claimed to have witnessed the shooting. The witness said that the “shooting was justified” but was reluctant to provide his account for fear of backlash. He told investigators that Wilson was “in the right” when he shot Brown and “did what he had to do.” Witness 108 also said that he would have “shot that boy, too.” He described Brown’s aggressive stance and charge toward Wilson. He said Wilson told him to “stop” or “get down” at least 10 times, but instead, Brown “charged” at Wilson.
A 2020 investigation by a black progressive prosecutor also debunks Tlaib’s claim
Numerous other accounts and multiple investigations describe similar acts and debunk the claim that Brown was murdered. It’s all available in the federal investigation report. Despite the original investigation clearing Wilson in Brown’s shooting, as did the aforementioned federal investigation by the Obama Justice Department in 2015, the case was once again opened in 2020 for some reason, an unusual decision and legal choice, by then-St. Louis County prosecutor Wesley Bell. He, too, was unable to charge Wilson.
“Although this case represents one of the most significant moments in St. Louis’ history, the question for this office was a simple one — could we prove beyond a reasonable doubt that when Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown, he committed murder or manslaughter under Missouri law,” Bell said at the time. “After an independent, in-depth review of the evidence, we cannot prove that he did.”
THE WNBA HAS A BLACK ENTITLEMENT PROBLEM
The truth has been settled for over a decade. Lying and deceitful Democrats insist on repeating falsehoods to keep their desire to cause racial division in the country alive. Tlaib is a liar, and numerous witnesses in a federal investigation have proven it. This holds for any person who claims Brown was murdered. The person responsible for Brown’s death is and has always been Brown.
Elected officials should not be lying to the public about police shootings. Every investigation possible has concluded that Wilson acted properly. There is no investigation on Earth that verifies Tlaib’s baseless assertions. Her dishonest words and actions are a disgrace and a direct threat to the nation’s democracy. And her penchant for framing it as a racial issue, and the highly charged rhetoric of “white supremacy,” reveal her disgusting bigotry and anti-white prejudice that has no place in Congress.
