The Trump administration praised Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday for deporting over 2,000 known or suspected terrorists, as the country prepares to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

The Department of Homeland Security said ICE has arrested more than 2,150 known or suspected terrorists so far during President Donald Trump’s second term. It deported 2,015 between Jan. 20, 2025, and Wednesday. The Washington Examiner asked the DHS how those numbers compare to previous time periods but did not receive a response.
