The Democratic former Mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu, 66, says he is “seriously” thinking about running for president in 2028, adding his name to the wide array of Democrats floating a bid for the White House in two years.

“I am thinking about it. A lot of people have said, ‘You should think about it,’ so it’s hard not to. It’s an honor for people even to think that, you know, that would even be possible,” Landrieu told Politico on Wednesday.
