This week’s Liberal Media Scream features Hulu’s Sarah Silverman fretting that as a Supreme Court justice, Brett Kavanaugh will hurt the vulnerable “until the devil comes to collect his soul.”
On last Thursday’s fall premiere of Hulu’s I Love, You America, a weekly show touted as meant to “connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions,” she charged that if Kavanaugh is confirmed, “it’s going to affect every vulnerable person in America negatively until the day he dies, until the devil comes to collect his soul.”
Though Silverman opened her show with a long diatribe deriding President Trump and Kavanaugh, Hulu claims on its page for the show that Silverman is “looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously. While it’s great to connect with like-minded people, Silverman feels it’s crucial, now more than ever, to connect with un-like-minded people.”
She added this about Kavanaugh getting on the court: “That will give every anti-choice Republican a giant boner.” Unifying, right?
Full text of what’s in the video in which she’s referencing how the new Bob Woodward anti-Trump book and anonymous New York Times op-ed are distractions that benefit getting Kavanaugh confirmed:
“But make no mistake, the Trump administration is thrilled about this distraction right now because they’re going to get to confirm Kavanaugh and that will give every anti-choice Republican a giant boner. This is a position for life, y’all. They want to push it through, and if it goes through, it’s going to affect every vulnerable person in America negatively until the day he dies, until the Devil comes to collect his soul.”
Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains our weekly pick: “Silverman is emblematic of the intolerant left, particularly in Hollywood. In her case, made worse by her vacuous promise of a show that would respect the views of conservatives. Instead of ‘connecting’ to those with differing views, she delivered a diatribe demonizing Kavanaugh for not holding the correct view on abortion.”
Rating: Four out of five screams.
