President Trump ordered an airstrike targeting and killing Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who was the commander of the Quds Force, a unit within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Soleimani was a terrorist who killed hundreds of Americans, but many of Trump’s critics believe this move would lead the country on a collision course to war with Iran.

My guest today is Russ Read, he’s a defense reporter with the Washington Examiner.

On today’s show, we’re going to discuss the operation that killed Soleimani, who he was, and what it means going forward between the United States and Iran.
