Republican and Democratic women alike agree that in the looks department, Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan is a perfect 10. His killer baby blues are sure to make any undecided female voter swoon.
But Ryan is a little too perfect-looking, according to late-night TV show “Saturday Night Live.”
During this Saturday’s “Weekend Update” with Seth Meyers the show featured Nasim Pedrad reprising her popular role as media giant Arianna Huffington, co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Huffington Post.
In the segment the fake Huffington discusses Thursday evening’s vice presidential debate between Rep. Paul Ryan and sitting Vice President Joe Biden and her opinion of ABC’s Martha Raddatz as moderator of the debate, who the fake Huffington thought “was outstanding, simply superior.” The conversation then turned to Raddatz’s controversial decision to ask the two candidates to talk about abortion near the end of the debate.
“If men could get pregnant abortion clinics would be like a Starbucks. There would be two on every block and four in every airport,” said the fake Huffington. “And the morning after pill would come in different flavors like sea salt and cool ranch.”
When asked by Myers at the end of the segment which Vice Presidential candidate is “friendlier to the women’s movement?” Huffington had this to say of the GOP VP candidate, “You know Paul Ryan is alluring in that, you know, nice guy next door kind of way.
“He has the muscles, and the money, and your family loves him. But, if you’ve seen any Lifetime movie, you just know he’s gonna kill you,” she says.
Earlier in the show during its parody of Thursday’s debate the SNL writers painted Ryan as a creep who is scaring America’s children and unwilling to give specifics about the Romney-Ryan economic plan in his answers. They also highlighted his unquenchable thirst for water during the debate and made fun of his personal story about his first child, whom he nicknamed “Bean.”
