Hillary Clinton dodged a question Tuesday about a new CNN poll showing her trailing Donald Trump among likely voters, and abruptly ended her chat with reporters on board her campaign plane once the discussion turned toward the results.
Clinton was asked about her health and what she thought of seeing Donald Trump’s plane in Cleveland on Monday before a reporter asked about the new poll, which shows Trump leading her 45-43 percent among likely voters.
“What do you think about the CNN poll that shows…” a reporter asked before Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director, cut her off.
“Okay, we’ll come back,” Palmieri said before Clinton herself chimed in.
“We’ll come back. We’ll come back guys. We’ll come back,” Clinton said. “I’m just saying good morning.”
Clinton proceeded to head back to her spot on the plane, although she said earlier in the discussion that she would be back to take their questions about an hour later.
Overall, Clinton still leads in most national polls. According to the latest RealClearPolitics average, Clinton leads by 3.3 points over the real estate mogul.
