FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. – President Obama on Wednesday used a town-hall meeting about energy to blame House Republicans for the congressional budget stalemate and threatened, “If we don’t reach common ground by Saturday then the federal government [will] shut down.”

“We want everybody to act like adults and quit playin’ games,” Obama said. “I do not want to see Washington politics stand in the way of American progress.”
