Special program Wednesday at Civil Rights Museum

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Two special programs are this week at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis.

On Wednesday, Ryan Jones will make a presentation “Martyrs of the Movement,” about people who tragically lost their lives as a result of racial discrimination between 1955 and 1968.

Thursday will be storytelling hour with LaZora Jones. Children 8 and under will get a chance to engage in history and cultural enrichment.

The museum is at the site of the old Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on a balcony in 1968.
