WATCH: Joy Behar says ‘boring’ DeSantis won’t beat Trump’s ‘negative charisma’

The View host Joy Behar blasted Gov. Ron DeSantis as “boring” and lacking charisma on Tuesday, reacting to his performance in the Florida gubernatorial debate on Monday evening.

“You know, this guy DeSantis has the charisma of this cup,” she joked.

“I think when Crist says, ‘Are you going run in 2024?’ he looks like he’s having a stroke,” Behar further slammed the governor’s performance against opponent Charlie Crist.

“He can’t even answer that simple question,” she added. “This is where I say Trump has a better shot, certainly with the Republican Party and the Republican base, than he does.”

“Trump, as annoying as he is and as hateful as he is, he has that kind of negative charisma that’s what we’ve come to see in the past few years, and DeSantis doesn’t. He’s just boring, and he lies as much as Trump,” Behar said. “If you’re going to lie, at least entertain us with it.”

During the debate, DeSantis did not directly answer whether he would serve a full four-year term as governor if he is reelected. However, he did say that “the only worn-out old donkey I’m looking to put out to pasture is Charlie Crist” in response to questions over 2024.
