Jasmina “Jazz” Perazic has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Elizabeth Seton, Roadrunners athletic director Candy Cage said Tuesday.
Perazic, a former All-American who led Maryland to the NCAA Final Four in 1982, takes over after one season at St. John’s Prospect Hall in Frederick. Prior to that, she spent one year at Bullis, where she led the Bulldogs to a 19-11 record and second place in the Independent Schools League. She also coached for two seasons at Northwestern.
Perazic, who is also a two-time Olympian, is 10th on Maryland’s all-time scoring list.
Perazic takes over at Seton for William Boone, who guided the Roadrunners for two seasons after five seasons as junior varsity coach. Seton finished the past season 3-19.
