Hillary Clinton zinged Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson for not knowing what Aleppo was during a widely-mocked TV appearance Thursday morning.
“You can look on the map and find Aleppo,” Clinton said during a Thursday press conference, referring to the Syrian city at the center of that country’s humanitarian crisis.
Johnson was asked during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” what he would do to address the crisis in that city, which has suffered massive destruction and is split between pro-government and rebel forces.
“And what is Aleppo?” Johnson asked.
“You’re kidding,” MSNBC’s Mike Barnicle responded.
“No,” Johnson said.
