The clock is already ticking for Arlington businesses and apartment owners to implement new programs allowing their customers and residents to recycle even more materials.
Business owners and multi-family residential properties must now provide more ways for folks to recycle goods like cardboard, magazines, plastics and metals. The new rule was approved by the County Board in December.
As of Feb. 1, businesses and property owners will have 90 days to implement expanded recycling program, county officials announced. This includes educating customers and residents about the rules and schedules for the new programs.
