McCurry: Carney needs a sense of humor

Clinton era press secretary Mike McCurry wouldn’t say too much about the advice he recently divulged to Jay Carney, the incoming Robert Gibbs replacement, but he did say this — he needs a sense of humor. “If you don’t have one — buy one,” McCurry joked Wednesday night at a book party at Teatro Goldoni for U.S. News & World Report’s longtime White House Correspondent Ken Walsh. McCurry said he expected Carney to try some new tactics to make the atmosphere more collegial and added that he thought Carney was the right man for the job.
