Police are investigating a possible trespassing at President Trump’s South Florida resort Mar-a-Lago.
Police responded to an unspecified complaint at the luxury resort and golf club on Wednesday and are looking into the matter, according to the Miami Herald.
“There’s an ongoing investigation right now, and we’re working on it,” Palm Beach Police Department spokesman Michael Ogrodnick said. “We will let you know as soon as we have something, which should be soon.”
Trump is appearing at a rally in Michigan on Wednesday evening and was not at the resort. The Secret Service does not provide security at the club when the president is not there.
Trump’s resort has been the target of several trespasses and security breaches. On Sept. 11, a Florida jury found Yujing Zhang, a 33-year-old Chinese national, guilty of trespassing on Mar-a-Lago property and lying to the federal agents that caught her. She is being held by authorities before she is deported back to China.
Prior to Zhang’s trespass, the FBI was investigating possible attempts by the Chinese to bug the president’s resort for the purposes of spying on top U.S. officials.
