Sen. Elizabeth Warren has been a scourge of Wall Street’s big banks, but don’t call her “anti-business.” There are lots of businesses Warren is very pro. She likes these businesses so much, she defends their subsidies and government funding, and fights for tax credits for them.
Warren has made it clear she supports free money for Wall Street and subsidies for very profitable exporters through the Export-Import Bank. Time Magazine had a great profile of all the favors Warren has done for the medical device industry.
Today, Politico paints a clear picture of Warren going to bat in extraordinary ways to keep taxpayer money flowing to those players in the military-industrial complex wise enough to set up business in Warren’s home state.
Maybe her problem with Wall Street banks would disappear if they just all became State Street banks.
