Best-selling conservative author Ann Coulter argued in her latest book that special counsel Robert Mueller is employing Soviet-era style tactics in his investigation of Russia’s 2016 election interference and any implication it may have of the Trump campaign.
In her new book, “Resistance Is Futile: How the Trump-Hating Left Lost Its Collective Mind,” Coulter wrote that Mueller, egged on by the news media, is determined to find any charges at all to bring against President Trump, despite, she said, the lack of any obvious evidence of a crime.
“If liberals are looking for Soviet-style corruption of American democracy, they couldn’t do better than the office of Robert S. Mueller,” she wrote. “The special counsel is our leading import from Russia. The very nature of Mueller’s probe is Soviet justice.”

Mueller investigation has led to the indictment of several Russians and Americans, including former Trump 2016 campaign manager Paul Manafort, though no charges thus far have demonstrated any direct coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign to affect the election.
During the campaign, Trump stirred controversy by saying if he were president, Hillary Clinton would have been “in jail” for using a private email server when she was secretary of state.
Clinton’s supporters and many in the news media accused Trump of suggesting the imprisonment of a political opponent. Coulter wrote in her book that it’s now liberals and the Department of Justice that want to jail Trump for political reasons.
“Everything these hysterics falsely accused Trump of proposing is exactly what federal law enforcement has done to him,” she wrote. “Trying to put him in jail simply for being Hillary’s political opponent.”
“The only thing we can truly be sure of is that there is not the remotest possibility that Mueller will conclude his investigation by announcing: Trump; is in the clear! However honorable he is, Mueller knows that if he doesn’t get Trump on something, he’ll wish he’d never been born,” she added.
