Baltimore soldier killed in Afghanistan

BALTIMORE (AP) — The Pentagon says a soldier from Baltimore has died in Afghanistan.

Twenty-eight-year-old Sgt. Daniel A. Rodriguez died Wednesday in Ghazni City, Afghanistan, when his vehicle was struck by an enemy improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.
