[WATCH] Jimmy Kimmel conducts hilarious governmental shutdown demographic study

Just like he did last week with his Obamacare spoof, Jimmy Kimmel has successfully found a way to make light of the current federal government shutdown – all the while making fun of the American electorate.

“I don’t think we need a government shutdown,” Kimmel deadpanned on Monday night’s show. “What I’d like to see is a government shut up.”

Earlier in the day, Kimmel sent a camera crew out onto Hollywood Boulevard to ask unsuspecting Americans their thoughts on the government shutdown.

“What does a guy who is so baked right now he’s not even sure he’s on Hollywood Boulevard doing an interview, he might be sitting at breakfast looking at his Fruity Pebbles… think about OSHA being shuttered?” writer Tony Barbieri ruthlessly asked an interviewee.

“About the ocean being shuttered? I don’t know what you’re saying,” the apparently confused man responded.

Although a few people seemed to actually catch on, the questions did manage to escalate from spot-on to downright insulting. Fortunately, no filmed bystander appeared to be too offended by them.
