Report: Warren could endorse Clinton next week

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is expected to endorse Hillary Clinton for president as early as Monday, according to a Democratic source.

Expectations of her endorsement have been circulating in the press this week. Reuters had reported the endorsement could come as early as this week.

Warren has been rumored to serve as a Clinton’s running mate. The former secretary of state and 2008 Democratic presidential candidate said in April she would consider selecting a woman as her vice president.

Conversations between the two has increased over recent weeks, according to Reuters.

Warren had been mentioned as a potential presidential candidate last spring, but backed out, saying she was not interested in leaving the Senate.
