Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., dodged when asked about the report Thursday that the White House has a plan to place Cotton as director of the Central Intelligence Agency in a staffing shakeup that would also see current CIA Director Mike Pompeo replace an outgoing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
When pressed on the matter by Fox News’ Bret Baier, the senator simply echoed the Trump administration’s response to the report earlier in the day that Tillerson is still in office and there were not any staffing changes to announce.
