Ivanka Trump will attend the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics later this month in South Korea.
Trump, a White House adviser, is leading the presidential delegation for the closing ceremony in Pyeongchang, South Korea, CNN reported Monday.
She was asked by her father, President Trump, and the United States Olympic Committee to attend.
Vice President Mike Pence is leading a delegation to South Korea for the opening ceremony later this week.
Pence invited Fred Warmbier, the father of American student Otto Warmbier who was jailed in North Korea and died last year after returning to the United States, to attend the opening ceremony with him.
Pence plans to counter North Korea’s propaganda efforts while leading the White House delegation to the Olympics.
