Watch: New Sanders ad takes aim at Clinton speeches

Bernie Sanders’ campaign takes aim at Hillary Clinton’s paid speeches to big banks, in a new ad that says those kinds of arrangements rig the game in Washington.

“Wall Street banks shower Washington politicians with campaign contributions and speaking fees,” the narrator says as the 30-second ad opens. “And what do they get for it? A rigged economy, tax breaks and bailouts.”

This is held in place by “a corrupt campaign finance system,” the ad says.

“And while Washington politicians are paid over $200,000 an hour for speeches, they oppose raising the living wage to $15 an hour,” the ad says, a nod to the paid speeches his rival Clinton has given over over the years to financial institutions and large companies.

“$200,000 an hour for them, but not even 15 bucks an hour for all Americans. Enough is enough,” the ad concludes.

The ad comes just days before the New York primary, where Sanders hopes to build onto his momentum and win his ninth voting contest in a row.
