One person was injured in a fire Saturday at a Ballston apartment building.
Fire crews responded to a report of an explosion at about 11:30 a.m., said Lt. Gregg Karl, an Arlington County fire spokesman. He said one person was burned and was flown to a burn unit.
The fire happened in an apartment on the third floor of a high-rise living center for seniors on the 4300 block of North Carlin Springs Road, Karl said.
No one else was injured, but about 100 people are temporarily displaced while crews investigate and work to restore utilities.
