Trump: Obama ‘colluded or obstructed’ during election

President Trump on Monday claimed his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, “colluded or obstructed” to rig the election in favor of Hillary Clinton, a stark contrast from allegations that Trump himself secretly worked with the Russians to win the presidency.

“The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win … and did not want to ‘rock the boat.’ He didn’t ‘choke,’ he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good,” Trump tweeted Monday morning.

The statement indicates Trump has changed his mind about the Obama administration’s handling of the incident. Trump had tweeted Saturday asking if an Obama officials saying they “choked” in their slow response to Russia was done because Obama “didn’t want to hurt Hillary.”

A Friday report stated the Obama administration had been given information last August that Russian President Vladimir Putin told operatives to hurt Clinton’s campaign. Obama did not inform the public about that piece of intelligence until October.

Trump also ranted Monday over what he said was congressional Democrats’ working against Republicans’ American Health Care Act.

“The Democrats have become nothing but OBSTRUCTIONISTS, they have no policies or ideas. All they do is delay and complain. They own ObamaCare!” Trump wrote.

Last Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell introduced a draft of the House-passed Obamacare repeal bill. In that time, five Republicans have said they do not plan to vote for the bill as-is. Senate Democrats have indicated they will not vote for the legislation.
