Kamala and Biden are ready to own the ‘America is racist’ issue. Trump should take advantage now

National polls say something like three-quarters of the public support the Black Lives Matter protests, so maybe that’s why President Trump and his campaign are avoiding the issue, but they’re making a catastrophic mistake.

People aren’t stupid. They know there’s a difference between those who are protesting with signs and those who are smashing windows, burning government buildings, and ransacking businesses. Polls don’t make that distinction, so when a person picks up the phone and is asked, “Do you support Black Lives Matter?” of course he or she’s going to say yes.

If that same person, however, was asked, “Do you want to see your business blown up by arsonists and your neighborhood overrun by threatening rioters?” the answer might be a little different.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris also make no distinction because they believe that both groups are, in the end, fighting for the same thing. Both groups, they believe, are fighting against what Harris described on Wednesday during her convention speech as “structural racism.”

She used the phrase at least twice in her speech at the event, and the Black Lives Matter movement has been featured throughout the first three days of the convention.

That Trump’s campaign isn’t taking advantage of it amounts to malpractice.

No, instead of talking about wild rioters burning down major cities, assaulting police officers, and intimidating normal people all in the name of “racial justice,” the Trump campaign is gearing up to go after — Hunter Biden!

Politico reported on Wednesday, the day that Harris would give her major speech, that the Trump campaign was all set “to target Hunter Biden in a digital ad blitz.”

What a joke. Joe Biden and Harris are ready to wrap themselves in the Black Lives Matter cause, violence and all, and this is the direction that Trump is heading.

Good thing he recently picked a new campaign manager.
