The Islamic State took credit for a car bomb in Baghdad late Monday that reportedly killed nine people.
Reuters reported that the bomb went off near a hospital, and that 20 others were wounded. The death toll was expected to rise.
The bomb went off near the spot where another Islamic State attack took place in July that killed more than 300 people.
Reuters said a statement released by the Amaq news agency, which works with the Islamic State, said Monday’s suicide bomber targeted a group of Shi’ite Muslims.
